MAKING ELIZABETH MURDOCH COLLEGE MORE INCLUSIVE

Thursday, 27 June

The Andrews Labor Government is helping Elizabeth Murdoch College in Langwarrin to be a more inclusive school for local students and families.

Jane Garrett, member for Eastern Victoria today announced that a builder has now been appointed and the school will receive $164,300 in funding as part of the $20 million Inclusive Schools Fund.

The funding boost will go towards renovating the schools internal spaces and making them fit for purpose.

The Labor Government’s Inclusive Schools Fund helps government schools implement innovative projects that promote inclusive school environments. It helps schools better support the needs of children and young people with a disability, by providing funding to build school facilities.

The project is part of a $2.5 billion investment over three years to build the Education State, giving every student access to a great local school with a great education.

Victoria’s school building boom has delivered more than 1,000 school upgrades and 56 new school projects across the state, supporting almost 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
