Labor commits $10 million to Brunswick Secondary College

Victorian Labor will fund a major upgrade of Brunswick Secondary College, Leader of the Opposition, Daniel Andrews, announced today.

Mr Andrews joined Labor Member for Brunswick, Jane Garrett and Shadow Minister for Education, James Merlino, to deliver the news to parents and teachers.

Labor’s $10 million pledge will upgrade the school and build new classrooms, specialist facilities and amenities.

Brunswick Secondary needs new facilities so it can provide enough room for new students and broaden the school curriculum.

Mr Andrews:

“Only Labor will upgrade Brunswick Secondary College, so our kids get the best start.”

“New, world-class facilities will replace outdated buildings – it’s what teachers want and it’s what students need.”

Ms Garrett:

“Brunswick Secondary College is going from strength to strength and this funding will further enhance its outcomes in academic performance, extracurricular opportunities and leadership skills.”

“It is a diverse and caring school that reflects the strong values of the Brunswick community.”

“I am very pleased a future Labor Government in funding this upgrade will enable Brunswick
Secondary College to do so much more.”
