An Andrews Labor Government will upgrade sports facilities at A.G Gillon oval in Brunswick West.

Member for Brunswick, Jane Garrett, announced the news to local club members at the oval.

Victorian Labor’s $100,000 plan will upgrade the historic grandstand, improve training facilities and develop a masterplan for the Gillon Oval/Raeburn Reserve to cater for growth.

The investment will refurbish the facilities within historic grandstand, improve training facilities and outline plans to improve the entire precinct.

Jane Garrett said:

“This proud and iconic ground has been left to run down, with no support for growth and no decent facilities for girls and women.”

“Labor’s plan will save the grandstand, save open spaces and improve training areas at Gillon Oval.”

“Facilities here are used every day by the dozens of clubs that call Gillon Oval home – they’ve called for an upgrade and Labor has listened.”
